Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is one of more than 500 flowering succulent species in the Aloe genus and the most widely known and fastest growing. It's a semitropical plant originating in South Africa, the Arabian Peninsula and Madagascar. It looks good, does wonders for your skin – and even tastes great in a smoothie.

Toxicity: Although considered a medicinal plant for humans, aloe vera's level of toxicity is mild to moderate for cats and dogs.
